We slightly shortened and modified this route to consist of a loop of Scafell Pike, Great End and Great Gable from the same starting point. The conditions for us were very deep snow and strong winds, making it a challenging but fun hike with lots of great steep ascends and descends. We camped 2 nights along the way round and were rewarded with beautiful sunsets and sunrises. The car park is free, has lots of space and situated near a campsite with toilets, a pub and a shop.
