Spectacular views. Not suitable for young kids. Take warm clothing, it gets very cold and windy on the top of the peaks. Take plenty of water. Some scrambling up Grisedale Pike and on the descent from Eel Crag. Lots of photography opportunities.

Did this route yesterday. the weather was harsh. high winds and sideways rain/ hail. the route is very challenging in parts with some scrambling and climbing. make sure you take plenty to eat and drink. we ended up taking a slightly longer route which came in at 17k.

Excellent route however not for the faint hearted, from the car park it is an instant climb, followed by a long gradient incline to the the first summit. A little scrambling at each summit. Excellent views, fantastic day hiking. Paths can be followed with ease however good planning is a must.
