Walking

We chose to attempt this in less than ideal weather! Windy and rainy but still enjoyable. Striding edge not for the faint hearted. Great experience but would recommend trying this one in good weather.

Rock climbingGreat!

Really diverse hike, fun to do but definitely hard. Although, someone averagely fit will be able to finish. Took us 5.5h with 3 stops

One of the best trails in the Lakes by far ! Scrambling along Striding Edge, climbing up to the top of Helvellyn and clambering down Swirral Edge with amazing views ALL the way to keep you going but would not want to attempt this in poor conditions.

Gave this 5 stars despite being robbed of the views due to the weather. Striding Edge, the climb up Helvellyn and then Swirral edge were all exhilarating and great fun. Will be doing this again in a bit to get the nice weather and views.

On the top of my favourite list... amazing views from top to bottom. Striding Edge not for the faint hearted and not to be tackled in bad weather, but it’s a must. Very clear path to follow, download map as no signal most of the way. Enjoy

Slightly terrifying but triumphant at the top. Not for the faint hearted but achievable. Great for a sunny day.

Great views with a clear footpath all the way round. There’s a path to the side of striding edge if you didn’t want to scramble over.

A fantastic day out and comes with it a great sense of achievement. Fun times scrambling along Striding Edge! Not too difficult and should have no difficulty if you're relatively fit and trust your feet.
