Lovely walk with some hills. Path is currently washed out three times between the Gatehampton railway bridge and Goring. Easy to get around them using other local paths.

Went from goring to reading following Thames path! Really enjoyed it! Path isn’t the flattest but no trouble on foot or a mountain bike! Lovely views along the way and seating are for a nice pick nick if needed. Today I covered 23 miles and this by far was the most enjoyable

I started in Goring and walked to Pangbourne, and I'm really glad I walked in this direction as it's most beautiful in that area. The walk is pretty easy, a couple of short inclines but other than that it's pretty flat. The walk takes in river, field and forest, my favourite type of walk.

Walking

This walk can start and end at Pangbourne Station where there is parking. After a dull start, joining the Thames Path is promising but that too is dull for first 15 or more mins. Then some steep sections as the path winds up and down the side of the valley. Eventually beautiful views over the river and finally down to the water’s edge into delightful Goring. Train back from there to Pangbourne. .

Really pretty walk with a few mild inclines. Walked this with an 8 year old and he did fine (slept well that night). You could easily do this as a loop but we parked at Pangbourne Station and walked the trail to Goring station to get the train back (5 minutes). See some wildlife, wild flowers, plenty of river activity and some stunningly beautiful houses along the way. The village of Goring-On-Thames is so pretty. The Swan pub at Pangbourne train station let's dogs in, it is right on the river and has plenty of outdoor space during the nice weather
