Formed by a U-bend of the meandering Great Ouse, Pavenham is not only one of the oldest settlements along the river valley in Bedfordshire, but also one of the most attractive of the riverside villages. This 6 mile walk follows the footpaths and bridleways around the village. There are a few roads to walk on in places but they are quiet with wide verges. Always walk with the traffic coming towards you for safety. There is a nice village centre to look at if you want to detour off the main pathways.
