Næsbyholm Storskov offers not only fantastic scenery but also forms the setting for ancient cultural environment. Few other places can experience tumulus in almost undisturbed surroundings. The initial relationship between landscape and tumulus in groups, rows or in clusters is preserved. The vast majority of the forest's spectacular monuments built in the Bronze Age - the period between 1800 and 500 BC, and most were even built before the year 1000 BC.
