A ramble along Hoejen River which is surrounded by ancient forests and steep slopes, giving the area a mountain-stream feel and unusual animal life. Water starlings and kingfishers are frequent visitors, and the woods are home to a number of rare plants including toothwort, greater butterfly orchid and yellow anemone. The route from the Højen River path to Mølholm Valley is signposted. You may: • cycle and walk on lanes and paths in open country • cycle and walk on lanes and paths in private woods from 06:00 till sunset • leave paths and access public areas at night • dogs should be kept on a leash at all times
