The cycle route from Lyngby train station to Skovbrynet train station leads the cyclist through a very varied landscape. First through the "Princess path" (Prinsessestien) through the Lyngby Åmose swamps and later through Frederiksdal forest, where the hilly terrain with steep slopes were created by ice and melt water over 10,000 years ago. Tips: In Lyngby Åmose the paths are narrow and there may be some soft paths. In the forest you may need to pull your bike up the steep hills, especially if driving on a city bike. The trip doesn't have distinct markings, but follows existing roads and bike paths. From Lyngby Lake it follows the journey of marked trails. In other words, this trip can be done with an ordinary sturdy bike but will probably be more fun to bike with a mountain bike.
