Of the ascents in Rarotonga, this track the easiest to find. You want to be sure-footed as there are many potentially treacherous spots were you go along the ridge edge. There are ropes at the steepest parts but good footholds are often missing so when it gets wet it gets difficult.

Its a pretty amazing track, there is a good climb through the bush until you get up on to the ridge line where there are a couple 5 - 10m rope climbs. Just below the summit there is a 40 - 50 m set of ropes that lead you to the summit. The views are amazing from the summit. I highly recommend some confidence on ropes, only going on good weather, decent level of fitness and a climbing buddy! I wouldn't tried the end section alone.

Amazing. What a beautiful piece of the world. This track definitely gets the adrenaline pumping. very steep. big drop offs. lots of free rope climbing. views are worth it. only do this walk if you are experienced and are confident in your skill and ability.
