A moderately difficult hike with great views of Santiago. Some rock scrambling near the top and a bit slippery on the way down due to loose rock. Very few people on the trail during the week. Recommended.

My husband and I started this hike yesterday, but got a late start right before high noon so we didn’t finish it. Highly recommend either going early in the morning or late afternoon-evening during the summer. Wear a hat and prepare to get your butt kicked, the rating is accurate. We also had running shoes which made the descent pretty difficult. Would be much easier with boots. Incredible views of Santiago! We plan on going back so we can finish the trail and take in more sights. It is indeed lightly trafficked and not crowded at all, it was quite lovely.

Nice climb with way less people underway then more classic Santiago routes; although it is easy to get off path on your way down. Avoid leaving the peak too late.
