Grey Lake Beach Trail is a 3 mile out and back trail located near Lazo , Magallanes, Chile that features a lake and is rated as moderate. The trail is primarily used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching.
Nice hike with good views, on a good weather day you can visualize the glacier that is 15km away, weather conditions can be harsh. Get to see beautiful icebergs and cross a strong suspension bridge
Extremely windy walk along the Grey Lake beach. You get a great view of a piece of calved glacier sitting relative close to shore while the Grey Glacier is very distantly in the background. If you walk to the eastern edge of the trail before it turns north, this is where the glacial ice gets washed ashore - you can pick up pieces on the beach. Just don’t get blown away!! FYI, the trail head is at the end of the road, not at the Lago Grey hotel that is under development. There is a nice cafe at both the hotel-to-be, as well as at the trail head.
