HikingGreat!RockyScramble

Bastante exigencia física, difícil para gente sin experiencia previa, pero muy hermoso y vale totalmente la pena, no suban si tienen vértigo, el último tramo no está bien señalizado así mucho cuidado con eso, miren bien el camino antes de avanzar

A long day with some serious elevation gain but absolutely worth it for the view at the top. The first 2.5 miles are entirely in woods going uphill along long switchbacks. You break out into the open for a short time before heading back into the woods for another hour or two. During this section you’ll go up some seriously steep and smooth areas of the trail. These areas were a bit overgrown at times as well, which was sometimes nice for the things to grab and annoying otherwise. The real pain here was coming back down later with crowds of people going up, lots of traffic jams and close passes. Around 4.5 miles you’ll get out of the steep woods and be fully exposed for the remainder (bring sunscreen) which is great considering the views you have around you. You can pick any random direction at this point and probably see 1 or 2 volcanoes poking up. I think we ended up counting 8 total, and we probably were missing a few in the haze. You continue going uphill until the end, with a bit of scrambling to get around the rocky areas. There’s a lot of nice places to enjoy the view and lunch whenever you feel like you’ve had enough. Make sure you bring plenty of water, the climb up and the exposure at the end are killers.

Amazing views. Bring a sandwich to the summit and have you lunch on top of the world, surrounded by (I counted 7) snowy vulcanoes... i started recording after about an hour...

Real beautiful hike with nice vegetation and spectacular 360° view of something like 8 volcanos ! It is a 8h hike in total but if you are in shape it is less. It take me 3 hours to go to the top without break and a good speed.
