This loop is a part of National Hiking Trail - Jacques Buteux segment. Follow J1 thru J7 (blue markers), trails names are : La Falaise (steep for the first part, you walk along the cliff and you'll see many lookouts with amazing view on the St-Maurice River), then Le Torrent (along a beautiful mountain stream and waterfalls) and easy last part Les Bénévoles. Trail is well-maintained and well-marked.

nous avons fait le sentier Jacques buteux de lac clair jusqu'à la halte routière. (9,4 km). beaux sentiers, belles vues en longeant plusieurs lacs.

Très belle randonnée. Très abrupte au départ mais le reste est très raisonnable. Un beau sentier à connaître.

Hiked that trail many times, maybe the best in the area. Gorgeous views, took me about 1hr40min for the entire loop with few stops to admire the landscape. A must-do!
