First time using AllTrails App and gotta say it was all pretty good. Never hiked in Quebec before, only in BC and the Yukon. It's a whole different scenario. The trail descriptions were solid and the trail was very very well mark,...almost a bit over-marked. First half of trail was rather busy with hikers, second half was more lightly travelled. We had a VERY buggy day, but I am thinking that just might be the time of year. It is a nice little trail for off leah dogs, so considering that this trail is marked as "off leash approved", my only issue would be about the three other dog owners we encountered having their dogs on leash and encountering my puppy off leash. That can easily create a bad dog situation. Either all off leash or none please. But had a great day!

Had an amazing time, starts off with a large incline. Then you travel atop the mountain for the whole time. We lost the path near the lake on the loop and ended up sliding around near the lake, jumping from tree to tree trying to not fall in the water, what an adventure!

Cool hike with lots of scenery variations. Quite moderate first quarter. The rest is more easy. Very well maintained and indicated paths. Lots of view points at the top. Nice spot with a beaver dam halfway through. Enjoyed this.

I hiked this trail in mid October. My Garmin GPS recorded 15 kilometers of distance travelled (with a few backtracking included). This trail is awesome.! I would rate it as difficult for those with weak knees. There are a lot of ups and downs. Early in the trail, there is a nice beaver pond. The trail is well marked with signage posted on trees. At higher elevation, the markings are painted directly on the rocks you walk across. It can be confusing, especially in areas where the paint has faded. I completed the loop portion of the trail but found that this did not enhance the experience. Most of the scenic gems are located in the linear portion of the trail. At one point in the loop, near the west end of the small lake, I lost the trail. Signage was not obvious. After a few minutes of backtracking, I picked up the trail again. Look for the "Tree Swallowing Rock" at Waypoint N45° 56.498' W74° 29.970' (see photo). At this landmark, hang a left to continue along through the loop. It took me and my hubby 6 hours and 50 minutes to complete the trail (includes 40 minutes of stopping). We were walking at an average pace of 2.25 km per hour (slower than usual but taking our time enjoying the views). I would definitely do this trail again but without the loop extension.

A lengthy hike with only a few highlights along the way. There was a nice outlook near the beginning of the trail that offered a spectacular view. They trail also passed next to a beaver dam which was interesting to see up close. We only completed about 3/4 of the trail after to coming to a dead end at a small lake with no sign of where the trail continued. We were exhausted and decided to just turn back at that point. There were a fair amount of bugs, so bring some spray with you if you go in the summer.

Really enjoyed the trail. The beginning is quite challenging but the rest quite easy. Some muddy parts. Loved that I could bring my dog and even have him off leash.

Splendide!
