This trail is very easy to follow as it has signs every couple hundred meters indicating the trail number (36), so I was never worried about getting lost. I arrived at around 11:00 a.m. - a pretty busy time. There were many other hikers with their dogs on the trail but the further you go, the less people there are (most people are going to see the falls and ruins which are pretty early on in the trail). This trail is almost entirely shaded with a few hot, sunny spots. It is early July now and the bugs weren't too bad as long as you keep moving, but I would still recommend bringing bug spray. The Carbide ruins and waterfalls are a beautiful sight and a great place to take photos - I stopped a lot to take pictures. After you pass the ruins and falls, there isn't a whole lot else to see. The trails go alongside the lake for about 10 minutes where you can find a few spots to have a swim in the lake, but after that, it is all forest. There are a couple steep-ish inclines but overall, this was a beautiful hike!
