Cool trail! Parking is still open with the COVID-19. We did the full loop to the fire tower and back. First KM is challenging especially if you are short. Full loop took 1h33 with a normal/quick pace and breaks for water / bug spray. Bring bug spray, water and prepare to climb rocks.

So happy to see the parking lot open to this one! Every year I think I exaggerate how tough the first climb up is and every year it kicks my butt. Bugs are definitely out but manageable, trails is a little wet in some places. I would suggest shoes with grip for the trek down. Views are definitely worth it!

Bugs are out, but didn’t seem to be biting. Was a lovely morning for this hike.

Covid19 update: Parking lot is open. We went on Sunday morning around 9:00, not too many people. When we finished at noon, parking lot was full, lots of people on the trail. Go early during the week end. The special Covid19 direction signs are confusing. I would say keep your GPS close.

Trail and parking lot are now open. Be aware that there are large signs indicating direction of travel for the loop portion of the trail. It’s now supposed to be done only in a counter-clockwise direction. Trail is in good condition. Water levels are lower than normal for this time of year but it’s still pretty buggy.

Super randonnée! Planifier des pôles de marche nordique en hiver pour être en sécurité lors de la montée et la descente, certaine passages sont très abruptes.

Steeper trail for the usual Gatineau hills trails, but definitely a nice Sunday afternoon trail!

Beautiful viewpoints along the trail. Pretty steep climb near the beginning and middle. It was raining which made the rocks a little slippery.

Bonne randonnée avec une belle montée dès le départ. De beaux points de vue au sommet. À cette période de l'année, la chute était asséchée. Aucun réel intérêt à aller jusqu'à la tour à feu.

Steep sections, walking poles helped. Water levels at the waterfall were very low so it was more of a trickle. The trail was very dry today which was a plus!
