VERY family friendly. The trail itself isn't actually a hiking trail - it's flat gravel road that vehicles can utilize. Runs parallel to the actual road which doesn't give the hike in the woods feel at all. Starts with campgrounds flanking the trail. Perfect for a family, but boring for a hiker. I thought this trip was a bust until I arrived at the waterfalls which definitely made up for that boring walk in the park. They are stunning! And there are stairs to enjoy the falls at different levels. Picnic tables throughout the trail there and the base of the falls. Washrooms with a drinking water fountain at the falls too. I would recommend bringing your bike (literally any bike would do), to save time. The walk there isn't much a nature walk at all. Bugs weren't overbearing, but I know my bugspray helped. Bring sunscreen because the 'trail' is very exposed at many parts. And I was worried about my dog's paws walking on the gravel on the hot day. Soil would've been fine, but in 30+ temps the gravel is similar to pavement with being hot to walk on.

Although AllTrails mentions no dogs on this hike - this is a dog friendly hike. Very easy walk in the woods, barely any elevation, but some beautiful views of the lake and the waterfall at the end is quite beautiful. HOWEVER, be aware that there's TONS of bugs on this hike. To be expected during this time of year (June) but for that reason alone you might want to leave your dog at home and bring tons of bugspray, wear light colored long sleeves and long pants if you want to have a decently good time.

Great trail for walking! Best part was going on top of the water fall and dipping in our feet.

Beautiful walking trail with many points of interest (lake views, mountain stream crossings (via bridge), waterfall, diversity of trees, Fall colours). There are also numerous beautiful spots with picnic tables and views. The waterfall itself was larger than I expected, and there are lots of small trails to explore around the falls, great for kids. The trail is about 6'-10' wide and even and laid with gravel. Towards the end of the trail there are two alternate trails that are not graveled, are more narrow and pass through the woods closer to the lake. A nice alternative since the trail is out-and-back. It took me 2.5 hours round trip at a very leisurely pace and some stops to admire the views.

Really awesome trail. It’s more of a walking trail then a hike but it’s beautiful with so much to see. The waterfall is amazing, I’d totally go again even though there are a lot of bugs. Bring a couple bottle of bug repellent with you and you should be good.

Very easy trail, more of a walk for people of all ages. If you want to shorten it you can even start the trail at several points north of the trailhead. The waterfall is very nice though, and there are a couple of viewing platforms so you can get up close.

Nothing difficult, not Many viewpoints. Waterfall is smallish. Did it because other trails we wanted to do were closed. 2:16 to finish at a very leisurely pace.
