september 13. 2019. if its for the workout and cardio... its great. it goes up and down a couple time so it challenging on the way back to. if its for the view... there are shorter and better. i went early _9 am_ and there was no bugs and the trail is in good condition. muddy in very few spots but easy to navigate around. mostly good marking except couple spots.

This trail is amazing. It kicked my butt. We started from the parking lot closer to the park entrance. It was a very challenging hike. I’m a decently fit guy in my mid-thirties. It’s a serious hike. The viewing points are numerous and spectacular. We went in late August/early Sept and at mid day there were no bugs at all. I recommend having a walking stick or a pole and making sure you have lots of water and food. You are going to earn your calories on this trail. Shoes with grip are a must as there are numerous parts of the trail which require confidence in navigating small obstacles or complex interweaving of tree roots and rocks.

You have two choices: 1- walk 3km on the road then do the full hike in one way 2- park your car at La Sablonnière then do the loop and come back to your car (i choosed this option which is around 9 km) The hike isn't too difficult but you shall bring 1.5 litre of water. The peak is at an altitude of 400 meters. The view is good but not as spectacular that I anticipated.

A friend of mine and I decided to go for our first real hiking trip. As such, we are extreme beginners. Considering the trail was marked as 'moderate' we expected it to be fairly hard but doable. However, we noticed that we had many difficulties, had to catch our breath often, and sometimes even didn't see how we could go much further (but we did complete it). The trail itself is great, and we're sure that if you are up for it physically, that you can enjoy it even better. If you are not, though, take caution! It has to be said that we did the trail in early July with many bugs, not enough water, and outside temps of 32C. Take precautions if you're in a similar situation.

Unable to hike. We got to the beginning of the trail and the first 1/4 mile was inundated with several inches of water. It looked like the surface of a lake. There was no apparent way around, as the water coverage was extensive. We went across the road to the Toit-des-Laurentides trailhead and hiked that instead. It was muddy in places, but passable. That hike was a great alternative.

Une partie du sentier était fermée pour entretien. très beau sentier, difficulté moyenne (la plupart du temps) à difficile (parfois). nombreux beaux points de vue. encore boueux à plusieurs endroits.

Lovely day out in the great outdoor being challenged by opening the trail to others. Gorgeous views !

I would recommand to start the trail at the first parking lot, where the elevation gain is higher. We had to open the trail as few people hike this long loop in winter, so snowshoes are more than needed after some inches of fresh snow. Views are ok. The trail is beautiful and enjoyable until you have to walk on the road to get back to your car...

Beautiful low-intermediate trail with amazing trees and shrooms! Did it in winter and end of summer, very different hike. Not many point of views but still a must.

Did the loop back at the 4.5 mark which made this a fantastic 9km hike. Loved the moss walls and views.

Nous avons fait le parcours complet du camping de la sablonnière au camping de la sablonnière en parcourant les 3 derniers kilomètres sur le bord la route avec les autos. Cela nous as permis de refaire le plein d'eau à l’accueil du parc

Great 9.5km moderate trail if you use two vehicles to avoid the 3km road walk that completes the loop. Nice woods trail with three nice viewing sites with views to the west. Starting at the south trailhead allows you to finish the walk with a swim in the sandy shored river.

I've completed this trail in the snow, the rain, and the dark. I've completed this trail in both directions, and once in both directions on the same day with several buddies: we completed it in one direction, then turned around and did it again. It's a great trail.

Amazing trail, one of the best the park, but super busy on a nice autumn day. You feel more like in a municipal park due to the amount of people around.
