A self-guided 2.75 km interpretive trail details the natural and human history of the area, including a log slide and dam built on the property in the 1870s for the Mackey Lumber Company. The highlights of this trail are the waterfalls and the surrounding open rock face of the Gorge, and the whitewater rapids found on either side. In low spots on the trail, boardwalks have been constructed, and make-shift staircases have been put in place to help visitors climb up and down the hills along the path. From the HWY 17/630 junction, head south on HWY 630, turn right onto Peddlers Drive. Turn right at Graham Road, where parking is found at the end. http://discoveryroutes.ca/mattawa/eau-claire/

Good trail really nice hike listen to the waterfalls the whole way

Directions do not lead you to a trailhead! So follow directions, but once on peddlers dr., you turn right onto Graham, it will bring you to Eau Claire gorge conservation. Follow road to the end. Once there you’ll find a parking lot, picnic tables, maps, and a toilet. Enjoy!!! This is a rare find...this trail is very well tended to but you still feel like you were out in the bush.

You can hear the rushing water from the gorge throughout the trail. Excellent views on this fairly quick hike.
