A self-guided 2.75 km interpretive trail details the natural and human history of the area, including a log slide and dam built on the property in the 1870s for the Mackey Lumber Company. The highlights of this trail are the waterfalls and the surrounding open rock face of the Gorge, and the whitewater rapids found on either side. In low spots on the trail, boardwalks have been constructed, and make-shift staircases have been put in place to help visitors climb up and down the hills along the path. From the HWY 17/630 junction, head south on HWY 630, turn right onto Peddlers Drive. Turn right at Graham Road, where parking is found at the end. http://discoveryroutes.ca/mattawa/eau-claire/

You can hear the rushing water from the gorge throughout the trail. Excellent views on this fairly quick hike.
