This is another of the many waterfalls along the Niagara Escarpment, named for John Walter, an early settler who used the water power of Walter's Creek for his mills. The Bruce Trail follows the river most of the way. When you reach the side trail (marked in blue instead of white) you will be temporarily separated from the river. Its a relatively easy hike and is recommended for families and pets.

Dogs are not allowed at a critical part of the trail even on leash. The beginning and end of the loop near the Inn. That was disappointing. Other than that the trail was moderate with a few harder parts.

It was great, it started off easy.... Lots of roots and rocks (hiking shoes are a good plan) and by the end you are climbing up the escarpment and it's a bit more difficult!!!! But it was a good walk and very beautiful!!!!
Oh yeah and bring bug spray!!!! And if you go into the inn they have a map of the trail that you can take with you!!!
