This is an off-shoot trail from the SC Johnson Rail Trail. The trail goes down the river bank to a trail running right along the Grand River. This small off-shoot trail is somewhat difficult as it goes up and down over roots and rocks. The trail travels under the Hwy 403 bridge and then does a loop through the woods coming close to the main SC Johnson Rail Trail again and then goes back. Deer are often found in this area as well as many types of birds.

Good fun to hike in an afternoon, trail is not marked well in some areas but that makes for some quality exploring!

Trail ran it on a beautiful sunny day. Thin trails with most areas under tree cover. Nice offshoot just over half way where you can duck down and chill by the river.

Good parking and a wonderful hike. Challenging for us seniors and not too busy considering it was a holiday. Combination of hills and valleys produced amazing scenery and the Grand river whispering by made for a stress reducing experience. proper hiking boots helped with the sometimes uneven trail and hiking poles were handy for inclines and declines.

Nice hike spot.

trail is thin and some areas hilly with trees fallen.

makes it hard for a couple to walk side by side or for larger dogs.

enjoyable and slightly challenging.

Not a lot of Pokemon spawns nor stops.

Would do again solo and without pups

A challenging and fun area for a run. Part of a great network if you venture off the Rail Trail. Very lightly travelled, almost never encounter another user. Some fallen limbs, tree roots, overgrown spots. May deter some people. The more adventurous will appreciate it. But exercise caution.

This trail was part of the Grand Valley trail system for years and I have traveled it many times . It is now listed by the GVT as permanently closed for safety reasons . Although this section is inviting it's legality to hike is in question . The Grand River Conservation Authority could potentially lay charges on people caught on it . That could spoil a nice day !!
