Did the trail with our 10 and 6 year olds, it is well marked and generally easy. Only watch out is the blue trail along Turtle Lake - one section at the far end, just before it merges with the red trail, went into the mud after an elevated boardwalk section collapsed. Stick to the red trail, and best to go around the lake in a clockwise direction as this allows you to see the collapsed section just before the trail divides, and go around it.

Great little trail to hike. Secluded and beautiful views of the lake. Our dog loves running through the trail and jumping in the water.
