Starting from Hastings Ontario, where there is parking by the lock, the trail is a lovely wide relatively level gravel pathway that takes you along the Trent River before turning SE. This is just a small section of the TransCanada Trail. The trail is also used by snowmobiles in winter, and ATVs in summer, but we only met 2 people while on the trail, and only 1 was on an ATV.
