Nice path to the accent, the accent was fun, and the top was a great rest point to enjoy a beautiful view with a snack.

Our second time through the crack. This time we had two kids on our backs and our 5 year old on foot. Totally doable and a huge accomplishment for him. The walk back was the most difficult as he was sore and tired. In total it was about 5 hours with an hour rest at the top.

It's a beautiful trail but the last 30-40 mins is difficult. If planning on hiking on a weekend, get there early otherwise there is no parking. Parking costs $15.50.

Incredible beautiful views once you complete the climb, well worth the effort. Don’t miss this trail if you get the chance. This is rated moderate, it’s actually a very difficult climb up the crack, certainly not moderate. If it’s wet, it will be very dangerous.

Great view at the end of the trail. Hard climb close to the end with loose rocks and steep inclines.

Really nice hike, did it with 5yo and it was a bit challenging especially towards the Kidney lake, bit climbing but all had amazing time. definitely take hiking boots if you can as the rocks can be slippery even when dry, altho seen people doing this hike in birkenstocks ;)

Great trail! Quite buggy at the beginning but just come with bug spray and you’ll be ok! The views are incredible and well worth it- make sure to wear supportive shoes!

We did this hike three days ago, and it was absolutely beautiful. I'd recommend biking the first half of the trail if you're alble, since it's mostly flat and would bring you to the more interesting part of the hike a bit quicker. You could lock your bike to a tree, do the hike, then bike out once you're done. Walking it was still lovely though, so if that's your only option it's still a good one. We were at the top by around noon, but I'd highly recommend going earlier in the day to avoid having more hikers on the trail. That being said, once you get to the top it's pretty easy to find your own spot to enjoy the view with some privacy. Bring lots of water and a first aid kit. There are exposed roots the entire length of the trail, and there are moving rocks that you'll climb over as you near the crack. It's easy to find good hand & foot holds as you scramble up and over the boulders, but definitely test rocks out before trusting your full weight on them. It's not great a great hike for young kids or pets, but we did see a lot of young families up there, so while it's not ideal, it's certainly doable. There are a ton of wild blueberries and juniper berries to pick too, so if you know your berries (and feel confident picking/eating the right ones) bring a small container to collect some goodies along the way!

Such an amazing view. Most of the trail was pretty easy with only the last km being difficult. Not including breaks it took my friend and I 3h to complete. There is alot of loose rocks and steep terrain with cell service only at the peak so I reccomend bringing a first aid kit just incase. If I were to do this hike again I would probally start hiking at 9am we went around 11am and it started to get very busy with lots of other hikers arriving as we were coming down. I definitely would not recommend this hike for young children and dogs unless u are prepared to carry them as some of the crevasses are very large. Also do not forget that this is rattlesnake country so be weary.

Nice hike with a lot of climbing up the rocks. Footing is mostly easy to reach with only couple of dificult parts. We missed the trail in one part which led to some intense climbing but found our way back. on the way back we took the trail and it was alright. We had a lot of fun, and the view is worth the climb. We had water and snacks, which I recommend, but there were people without either. Couple of big dogs and preteen children climbed to the top too. It took us almost 4 hours with 2 breaks. Check the weather forecast because people who were starting might have been caught by a bad storm.

Great trail - quite easy at the start but like other the end bit navigating is a bit difficult. Brought the dog and had to help him a bit but he was able to figure it out - a few others were up there too. Bug spray, water, and snacks are a necessity!
