was in the area for the day and happened upon this trail. Was a nice loop trail with both easy and more challenging areas with plenty to see and a couple benches along the way if you need to rest or just take in the environment. saw plenty of birds, squirrels, chipmunks a snake and couple turtles. Will definitely walk again when in the area.

Great local spot - but definitely not a secluded hike on particularly nice days or weekends!

Fun little hour loop! Watch your feet though, it’s easy to trip with all the roots on the path

nice day to be out. Nice trail and friendly chickadees.

A lot of other hikers today and the trails are very muddy at the moment but that doesn't take away from the great main trail.

Shoes with gripped soles come in handy in a few spots. I wouldn't recommend wearing sandles in the summer.

The trail is 75ish% covered by the forest canopy. This makes for a beautiful sight when the sunbeams shoot through onto the path.

As well, I was lucky enough to have a few chickadees eat seeds out of my hand.

Starkey Hill Trail has a few gems to offer; it is worth exploring.

Very clean trail, lots of nice gentle inclines and declines. Trail isn't paved but makes for a more naturey experience. Nice atmosphere, few benches to sit on along the paths. Lots of families and dog owners walking along.

Great rugged trail 40 years ago... GRCA got hold of it.... lovely but gentrified, and can get busy in high season.

Good lhike with lots of little hills. A well marked trail with a variety of landscapes: agriculture, deciduous forest, pine forest, marsh, meadow and cedars. We saw a lot of different mushrooms.

In Love with this Trail!

Love this loop. Perfect for dogs to be let off-leash, loads of spots for the kids to feed the birds too. The birds are so used to being fed by the hikers that if you are still enough, they'll land right in your hand. Fun for everyone :)

Good for a local trail but generally too busy fot my liking most of the time. Trail is a small loop with some ups and downs with a couple nice views. A good tip is to park at the parking lot and go across the road where there are longer, more challenging trails that are less busy on City owned property.
