Tried this trail for the first time today! Did the full trail and it was beautiful. You could smell spring in the air, you could hear the frogs singing, we saw little black and yellow butterflies and things were starting to green up. One note, check yourself for ticks when done....found one on the dog...but anyone who hikes knows you have to watch for ticks.

Nice little trail. Wherever there is a tree down they have made a path around it. Not overly long or tuff but a nice hike. Burrs in a few spots if your taking a dog.

this trail was really nice. wide track. somewhat groomed. beautifully forested and meandering. easy walking and quiet. very few bugs today. I'd do it again

Bring your bug spray. Great trail when dry. no garbage at entrance, so when you pick up after your dog, you're bringing it home with you. Enjoyed the trail and will be back with my mosquito repellant.

Trail is in generally poor condition and only minimally maintained. However this forest has many different "moods" as you walk through it making it interesting. Dirt bikes and four wheelers use this trail as well. The far end has an observation tower run by McMaster University studying carbon capture in this forest. As you near the end, you can sometimes here the "whine" from it.
