great views. I think primarily used by dog walkers - lots of dogs unleashed and people not picking up after their dogs - a deterrent if you dont bring a dog overall a good experience but probably wont go back

Okay at best, not a lot of cover overall, something to consider on the hot days. Bring bug spray as well.

Could be a nice trail . Not sure why dog owners continually disregard LEASH rules. Take your dogs to an off leash park instead . The amount of dog poop is astounding . I’ll choose other trails

Thought I'd try the loop. Got there before 8 hoping it wouldnt be too busy but at least 20 cars already parked. Lots of people walking with dogs so if you're not a fan of dogs, may not be the trail for you. I just walked about 100 feet then turned back, waaay too many people for my liking and more cars pulling into the lot. As I was driving back down the dirt road, passed 7 more cars coming in. Realized Fathers day was probably not the best time to look for a quiet trail.

Confusing, unmarked trail. Full of mosquitoes and long grasses.

I LOVE this hike. It’s very dog friendly with dogs who are usually very good off leash. Lots of different trails, rivers and lakes that people occasionally swim in. Main parking lot closed because of COVID but you can still park on the side and hike

Nice trail with wide open areas. Lots of folk let their dogs off leashes here, which if they're behaved isn't an issue.

Further to some of the other reviews....the abuse & neglect of dog owners around this trail is immense. 3 off the leash for every one that is on, and you have to watch where you step almost everywhere! Very disappointing for what would otherwise be a great network of trails.

dog friendly, but often quite crowded. while not technically an off leash area, its communally accepted as one. paths are well marked and gravel is occasionally used.

Overall a good trail. Some parts very overgrown (had to hold back chest high weeds to walk the path). Great if you just want to take your dog to the water though. Will try bringing my kayak next time!

Very dog friendly with a mosquito-free pond. Not a ton of shade which just means sun but no bug protection. The southern leg of the trail is quite overgrown and hard to follow but the northern leg isn’t so bad. With the ponds attenuating the risk of heat stroke, this is among the best summer spots for your dog(s). They’ll need to be gentle and friendly though; sensitive or insecure dogs will have a hard time here.

Lots of variety in what you see, easier paths and lots of friendly dogs! Took just under an hour and a half to do the whole loop. Would recommend! Also, not many bugs!

Nothing to really see. Lots of signs for dogs to be leashed, though I seemed to be the only one with a leashed dog. Little bit of a safety concern seeing how my dog is highly reactive and other people's dogs kept running right up to him. Other then that we had fun. Also just be cautious with the dogs swimming in the river. My one dog picked up a parasite most likely from the water.
