Parking lot is at 1251 Snow Valley Road in Minesing. The trail starts with a short flat stretch followed by a steep uphill climb. The trail is well marked and there is a nearby snowmobile trail. This is a very friendly winter pathway as there are cedar rails along the uphill climb indicating where the trail continues. There are also sign markers indicating which direction to follow.

Trail is in fantastic condition as of May 10/18
Traveled through it on my hybrid bike going north using the snowmobile trail which was loose dirt but exciting straight downhill lines. Travelled on the gravel/maintained pathway south at night with my road light. Nice packed gravel trail and nicely done log railings as well. Nice access route between north Barrie and Springwater rather than the nearby 80km/h roadways. Use this trail to travel to and from the sports complex off of nursery road.
Highly recommended for a nice trail with some hills and terrain variations for both hiking and biking

We take our dog to this trail year round and we love it. We have used our snowshoes but it’s well packed down to hike in boots. There are several little side trails and it’s good excersise. Not very flat though so if you are walking with someone that struggles with hills, it’s probably not the trail for them. It’s very pretty and peaceful.
