Nice trail. The end of the loop is washed out by the lake so you have to bushwhack if you want to do the full loop. Long walk but the views get monotonous after awhile!

We went mid-August on a sunny day. We went all the way down from the pet friendly beach on the east side first and then passed a few massive drift wood to get to the “turning point” at the southernmost point. Although now marked as two separate trails by the park, the east/beach trail and the west trail do still connect...via a narrow sandy path at the “turning point”. The west trail path was dry to walk but there was bog nearby all along. Saw a coyote on our way back on gardiner ave.

Half of the trail is filled with water until knees. Beautiful view of Lake Erie will make it up for the struggle. Don't forget to take mosquito repellent. Will find lot of frogs and small snakes through out. It is a one way trial, starting at west gate and ending at east gate. The entry fee for the Rondeau Provincial Park is 18$. There are 3 more small trials inside the park.

Half of the trail is underwater. It’s now a one way trail along the water. Water views are pretty.

Enjoyed the trail on Labour day weekend. A nice hiking trail for anyone. Not much traffic, but the western tip (about .5 km) of the trail is well under lake water. We decided that the hike could be upped to moderate if we ventured out into the lake and were able to say we completed the trail. It added an experience we weren’t expecting, but a great story we will tell for years.

This is a beautiful trail that showcases many of the beauties of south western Ontario. I have hiked it many times and can’t wait to hike it again.

A nice sheltered walk through the Rondeau woods. Walking along the Lake Erie shoreline is an added bonus. Good hike for just keeping active.

Great local trail to enjoy the Carolinian woods of Southern Ontario. Start at the Nature center to understand what you see along the trail
