Did the whole loop today starting at 5:23pm and got back just as the sun was setting. Some bugs near the start only so no problem. The climb is a bit steep but the rest of the trail is quite easy.

great hike, very muddy in some spots, but expected given the rain we've had.

Did this trail with my dog. Parked roadside and started at the pretty river access trailhead. Trail was very fun and easy while following the river.. Encountered very little mud during this portion. Once we headed uphill, the trail was extremely muddy and deep in some sections. Mud aside, it's a well maintained trail with a good variety of terrain and sights.

The river was fantastic. The trail was terribly muddy. Slow and steady hike. We were grateful to have our hiking poles.

did all the trails today, it's very muddy and lots of ice. Be very careful! lots of the downhill I had to crawl down because it was so slippery.

Highly recommend this trail to anyone EXCEPT it is extremely icy right now (April 2019). Pet friendly too.

Nothing challenging about this one if you are in good shape. It’s a nice walk through the woods along the river. Trail crosses the river every now and then over little bridges. Very nice!

Nice trail. Would classify it as ‘moderate’ instead of easy.. Suggest going right from the trailhead. This allows for a downhill run near the end when fatigue set in. Loved the section along the river.

Very challenging trail. Even with using the GPS we got turned around a few times. However, the forest and stream are beautiful.

Challenging trail. The forest is constantly changing which is one of the delights of hiking in the woods. The Russ McConnell side trail is beautiful. We took a few of the bike trails back and those have some steep grades. Great hike!

Beautiful stream. Spring rainbow run’s on.

Amazing conditions for snow shoeing- we took a vertical route up an escapement and then connected with the Bruce trail down. No scenic points along the trail though and we had to take a short cut along the snowmobile route and almost got run over a couple of times. The Bruce trail was well marked but you could easily get lost. The parking lot is pretty big

So beautiful. Despite the cold temperatures and wind it was very sheltered within the trails.

What a beautiful trail the snow was a beautiful contrast to The towering trees in the Forest and the sun reflecting on the scene made for a perfect snowshoe!

Very nice set of up and downhill trails for hiking and tidied up to allow for mountain biking and snowmobiling on wider paths.

Very nice trail ! Please ensure you walk the second loop along the escarpment. Tons of bug. Deer fly and mosquitoes. Spray in not a luxury in mid-July at 28 celcius and humid. Enjoy. Did the full loops and more for a total of 10.55 km.

This trail is absolutely gorgeous. We did the full hike and then some.....because the trail is not clearly marked. Lots of little side trails so bring a map and a GPS. We plan on coming back to do another trek. Just loved this trail.
