Getting There

A steep climb leads to a beautiful panoramic lookout over the Eastern part of Lake Laurentian. The trail then runs along the shore and back up for lovely ridge views, before descending to where the easy Point trails separate into Loop 1and Loop 2.

Runs parallel to the Lake Laurentian Loop and then branch off at the wooden lookout platform beat the peninsula. The trail then separated into the two loops.

HikingGreat!

well maintained; lots of beaver activity and nice lookouts, especially given its in the city of Sudbury.

It’s definitely some work to get up the rocky areas but the views are amazing and well worth the effort. Trail is in very good condition.

Love this hike! Completed loop 1 with our three kids (age 7, 5, and 10 months). It was challenging but we all loved the views!

Did loop 1 tonight approx 3 km... beautiful trail with amazing views of Lake Laurentian!... Some steep hills and a few bugs... but overall great hike! A bit muddy from the rain we had yesterday and a bit overgrown in some areas!

Conditions are great on the trail very easy with great views from start to end. Few buys along the way bring some off spray with you.

Absolutely loved this trail. The beginning is challenging with a steep and rocky incline, though the loops are much easier. Some overgrown spots and a few areas with poor markings, but overall a great trail with fantastic views.

What a trail! It starts with a steep climb uphill, but you are rewarded with some spectacular views of the lake. Up and down beside the lake, be careful not to slip on some of the steeper portions of the trail. The good stepping spots are juuuust far enough apart to make it tricky. We completed Loop 2, and it was pretty overgrown. Most of this section of the trail was waist high bush with a narrow path, but the path was still very easy to follow.

A short climb to a nice lookout then you descend to the two point trail loops. Loop one is more forested than loop 2 which has more shoreline trail. Both are a little overgrown at the time of year. Beautiful views of the lake and wildlife. Excellent trail if you are looking for something shorter than the full lake loop but with the similar views.

A great trail for our family. There was enough of a climb to make it feel like we got some exercise, without being too steep or technically challenging to hike with a baby strapped to my chest. There were lots of lookout points which made the walk feel very rewarding, too!
