Good little hike, make sure to watch your feet. Very uneven, and lots of tree roots

A good quick hike with lots of nice views of the lake and wetlands. Muddy right now but to be expected. Great for families with younger children. If you have any mobility challenges there are quite a few roots and rocks to be wary of.

A few downed trees, but otherwise some nice views on a fairly easy trail. Not overly muddy.

Hiked with an 8yr old and 6yr old. Shorter than we thought, but very well maintained. Easy hike. Descriptive booklet very good, but long sections.

Hiking

Easy enough for the beginners. If you follow the blue circle, you have to claim up the wooden stairs. If you follow the white circle, you have to claim down these stairs. No railing. We truly enjoyed the hike.

The wooden stairs are extremely dangerous when wet, especially without an handrails! Although the scenery around the lake is beautiful and the information provided in the booklet is excellent and well written, there are dangerous aspects of the trail itself that require careful consideration and improvement for the safety of all but especially those with physical challenges. The wooden stairs are lacking hand rails for support and security. When wet they propose a dangerously slippery hazard. I was disappointed to see the heavily eroded condition of the trail overall from excessive usage over the years. Is this what is happening to our provincial parks?

Do not go there as of 24/04/19, the path is iced, muddy, flooded. You cannot enjoy the scenery whatsoever as an accident is one false steps away.
