The trail is not accessible from Norwich. Tried various points and farmers have blocked off trail. We picked the trail up in Springford and walked to Tillsonburg.
This trail should not be promoted as a 17.5 km trail because of limited access.
I will be addressing this concern with Oxford County and municipal councils.
My advise is for others to bring this concern forward. For those planning to do this 17.5 km trek according to the map, it cannot be done at this time. How disappointing.

Awesome trail for hiking or biking. Gets a little confusing at one point but definitely one of the nicer trails to run.

This trail will be great when the town of Norwich finishes the section through town . On the northern section the farmers don't seem realize it's a trail and have plowed it up. Come on guys it's on the county's official trail maps . The southern section has been completed but someone keeps putting barb wire across the pedestrian access points . I believe that is illegal . So beware of these fencing issues and enjoy the finished sections as they are nicely graveled and straight with a mild grade . There is a great Chinese restaurant at the main intersection in Norwich . Good food reasonably priced . After a day on the trails it is a welcome meal . K

From Tillsonburg this trail follows the old Brantford , Norfolk and Port Burwell Railway bed . It does continue on all the way to Norwich as the county has a buried water main from Springford to Norwich . Some one keeps putting barbed wire at the pedestrian gates on some sections . I think that is illegal . There is a section outside Tillsonburg where adjoining land owners have been dumping garbage on the trail , nice . It is a great backpacking trail with enough distance and amenities along the way . Definitely worth checking out ! K
