First time exploring this trail. It was a great walk but some balancing required on fallen logs to get across some areas due to mud and water. Can’t wait to explore more!

Great walking trail in Kanata. Multiple paths are available so you can make it as short or long as you want

good simple trail. mostly shaded. some parts closed due to wash out. I went through anyway and did some creative balancing on logs and make it through without muddying my shoes. flat enough for kids to bike.

My favourite part of this trail is the nice boardwalk in the middle of the woods. My family and I also saw lots of wildlife (red squirrel, chipmunks) and birds (pileated woodpeckers, downy woodpeckers, mallard ducks, chickadees who feed out of your hand). The forest was alive with birdsong! The major negative of this trail is that for a large portion of it you can still hear the road. Breaks the magic a bit. Also warning: when we walked in mid/late April, many parts of the trail were flooded.

Nice easy going walk but not great for snowshoeing. Most of the trail is very hard packed from where so many people have walked. There is some opportunity to go off trail because the firest is thick with alot of low brush. Managed to get some fresh tracks by the marsh and we also followed some deer trails.

Snowshoed this trail and the #23 twice this week. It's sheltered from the wind and for the most part there are both classic ski tracks and a snowshoe path. Compared to the summer there were few other people. The trail is flat but pretty with the snow. Two deer eyed us suspiciously before continuing on their way.

Bring bug repellant. A short hike through the woods. A part of the trail was blocked from vegetation and a huge puddle so you had to take a detour trail for 25m or so. The detour trail sucked because it was wet and muddy and tree branches were getting in the way. I ripped my shirt on one of them. Overall though a pleasant trail.

I like this trail. Sometimes alot of people walking with can be a bit of a pain when biking. But trails sprouting off of this one are alot of fun.
