I loved this trail last year, visited multiple times. Never saw more than 1 or two people ever, even at peak hiking times. This year, the raspberry canes (thorns can tear clothes) have grown across the path and are over 5ft tall. There’s a tree down before I could get to the lookout. The lower trail is OK, often wet and buggy but still pleasant. The higher trail (as of July 2019) is almost entirely overgrown and you can’t do the loop because of a downed tree that’s impassible. If you take your pup, watch for downed page-wire fences along the higher path (borders the farm fields). Impossible to see and close enough to the trail for a paw to get caught if using an extended leash.
