The first section of the trail from LaSalle to the hydro towers is quite nice. There are a lot of birds and wild flowers including orange lilies to see. There is a huge beaver pond with a dam and a lodge. We also saw a river otter swimming in the pond just like the bronze statue featured along the path. Further up is the Nickeldale Conservation Dam which is neat to see but covered in graffiti. Once you reach the hydro towers there is nothing left to see. The path basically becomes a way to connect the local neighborhoods. Convenient but not very appealing to look at and no shade.
