Well marked, well maintained and shaded in many sections. A beautiful and easy (flat) ride. Bring plenty of your own water as there aren’t any opportunities for water between Port Dover and Simcoe.

The trail follows the river from Simcoe to Port Dover on a mixture of gravel and pavement. Very flat with a nice mixture of wooded and wetland sections. Grab a fish and chips at the beach in Port Dover.

This trail is mostly a gravel path that replaced the old railroad tracks that ran through the area. It passes through some wooded areas as it winds it's way between Port Dover and Simcoe. It's okay if you're looking for something to do, but I would walk along the lake shore before considering this hike.
