It’s a bit moderate trail. There are places where you can “choose” to climb a small cliff to get to another section of the trail leading to parking. These places have rocks cut into two and you may have to do a small “mountain goat” jump to get to the other rock. My kids simply loved it.

Rocky, enjoyed caves to explore. We got lost but managed to get back and finished the full trail. Loved it

Not sure why it's listed for bird watching. You'd be hard-pressed to find any birds except for the odd downy woodpecker or chickadee, but it's a pretty trail. Watch out for dog poop.

Saw five different garter snakes on the trail which was awesome! Took the main Bruce to the CVC trail and walked past the kilns and stone arch (NOT a bridge!) then came back through the “hole in the wall” to the main entrance. A little rocky in places and it’s steep to climb up the ladders but doable with kids and dogs if you’re brave. It’s possible to go around and not do the ladders if you want a slightly longer but gentler slope. There is some poison ivy so keep dogs on leashes and stay on the sanctioned trails. Make sure you take a picture of the map because it can be tricky to find your way with the blazes when you’re out on the side trails and it’s easy to turn the wrong way and miss the main features.

Awesome park to check out some historical features from the 1800s. There is a difficult decent that includes ladders down the hole in the wall section of the Bruce trail that runs through the park. I have seen people do it with both dogs and small children, but they’ll need to be carried down the ladders or you’ll need to take the long way around. Can be busy on nice days and the trails are difficult to social distance on when passing other groups, so watch for less busy times.

Limehouse is one of my favorite trials. Very nice. The terrain isn’t to bad. I wouldn’t suggest going in the winter if you know know your steps there. Other wise I enjoy the sitting by the river and enjoy hiking threw the trails there. Sometimes it’s fun to explore the few caves that are around. :)

Do this trail during the week to avoid crowds. A gorgeous trail. Did this hike with my golden retriever who also had a great time. She was unable to use the ladder and climb down from the top of the caves but we managed to take an off route detour to rejoin the main path instead lol.

A great trail and easy for beginners looking for an adventure. Turning right when you reach the first fork there were lots of bugs (Black Creek Side Trail) so BRING BUG SPRAY but eventually leads to very cool caves and rocks to climb up for great photo opportunities. Dog friendly but probably wouldn’t bring my dog just for the sake of carrying her up some of the rocks but bigger dogs could handle it easily. Couldn’t find the little stone bridge in some of the photos but looking at the map at the entrance I think it’s at the end of the Black Creek Trail (take a left at the start)

Amazing trail. Lots to climb up and down. Rocky cliffs, almost caved areas. Cool river and streams along the trail. Stonebridge is a showstopper. Fairly easy, my kids were ok on it. Bugspray a must!
