Easy trail, lots of shade. Little bit rocky on the way to the lighthouse.
This is a beautiful little trail that takes you around Georgian Bay. The pathways are beautifully worn into the rockfaces, snaky cedars look ethereal, and you will encounter cave like boulders as well. The lighthouse is small, and you’re not able to climb it (to the disappointment of my 3 year old lol.) Not sure if I would say this trail is for every level though. If you’re hauling around an infant or young child it can be a little precarious due to uneven ground that is rooty, and rocky. You can actually just go in trail reversed, starting at the end instead of the beginning- which is located beside the start of the trail (and come back the same way,) for a much easier walk to the lighthouse. There is a small beach trail located there as well with ample parking. It’s worth seeing for sure if you’re staying at the park.
Stunning little trail! Going again tomorrow to watch the sunset on the rocks
beautiful scenery, although very rocky and difficult to stay on path
