Decent changes in forest types. Also, keep a look out for rusted out vehicles...we spotted 3 of them

Brutally icy in later winter early spring (as expected). Great trail once ice clears for kids proficient on a balance bike. Great long boardwalk (bridge), river views. Looking forward to seeing frogs emerge from the mud under the icy trails as we’ve seen in the past. More dog poop and full plastic dog poop bags all the time are ruining this trail.

lovely loop system, a little slippery, and dog poop on the trails which was like an obstacle course.

Very easy trail, packed down even in winter. Couple old cars hidden in woods

Easy walk - fairly flat and trails are well marked and maintained. Can see canal in few areas.

Nice trail. Runs along the trail canal which should be gorgeous in a few weeks. Downside is the noise from the road- and what’s with the 3 car wrecks in the middle of the woods?? Definitely detracts from the natural surroundings

Beautiful day for a hike. These trails are easy to follow, well maintained and an easy hike. The Trent Wildlife Sanctuary is right across the road so we did both. Beautiful section along the river. Both these trails are very popular and easily accessed so expect to see lots of people out enjoying them.
