The trail starts where they took out an old bridge for logging. However if you have a jeep and or truck you can continue to drive right up to the waypoint where the true trail starts. This is a bushwack marked by flagging tape. From scarecrow lake up to the top is a very obvious trail up to Ishpatina Ridge. There are a few campsites along the way.

Long trail, worth the hike for the novelty of being at the highest point in Ontario. Camped at the peak, had a bear outside the tent over night. Recommend a vehicle with high ground clearance if taking the overland trail.

The highest point in Ontario! This hike is difficult but can be made easier if you have a truck. You can then save about 15km off the trip. I highly suggest this trail and approach.
