We are long distance backpackers . Although this trail is long enough the people looked at us like we aliens from the caucus mountains invading . One guy said people like you can't walk here all dressed up like that . I said what people dressed like what ? He said like you . I said you can't discriminate against people and hassle them because of the way they dress . He said you can't dress like that because you're not from around here . Well he was right about that and I will never go back either . So watch out for the bums on this trail , they don't like out of towners . Good Luck !! :(

Great for commute from Midtown K-W to Downtown Kitchener via Victoria Park – with City Café Bakery (wood-fired bagels, croissants, pizza, brownies ...) en route for office treats or picnic delight. Name your adventure further with various signed trail arteries. Past hidden streams, patches of neighbourhoods and little parks, you can work your way to the Fairview Mall.

Nicely paved trail from uptown Waterloo to Ottawa St in Kitchener. Scattered pieces of the old railway along the route, along with a LOT of garbage. Next time I'm bringing garbage bags!
Easy trail and lots of other people out and about :)
