This was a nice view, but the trail is not well marked. When you come up the path from the parking lot, keep to the right and go up as much as possible - that is where the view is located. There are benches along the way if you need a rest, and not very much shade. Most of the hike is along the rocky surface and it is a steep initial incline to get to the main trail.

Only went up to the rocky lookout area since I didn’t have much time to do the whole trail but it was beautiful! Within the first few minutes there’s a very steep area but other than that it was nice and shady.

Really beautiful with a stunning view. Very easy to get lost though so be careful.

Overall really nice trail with amazing views. Part of the trail has some very confusing markings and takes you to the edge of the rock next to the highway. The fencing is down so it’s quite dangerous if you’re not careful. The trail does NOT follow alongside the highway like that so don’t follow those trail markers

Great walk! Spectacular views! It was super windy on top so dress appropriately Please note that some of the road markings are inaccurate and takes you to the steep edge of the main road ... watch your step

Favourite lookout! Was a little icy from snowmobile tracks but managed without crampons.

Beautiful views at the lookout - especially in the fall! Not exactly what I was expecting of the trail. I was expecting more of a walk in the woods but it very quickly did take you to the rock. Not covered by trees most of the time - just walking along the rock to different stops /lookouts . I had a little bit of a hard time following the trail signs as it was mostly spray painted lines on the rock. I just spent my time exploring on the rock instead of trying to follow! I'd go again for the views in the summer on a sunny day!

Great views. Easy trail, starts in the woods but very quickly ends up on the top of the rock. The loop is all on top of the rock so bugs were not a big concern. To do the entire loop trail you have to be very careful to make a very sharp left turn at the map on top of the hill. Easily confused! Really enjoyed it. It took about 1.25 hours all said and done. Will come back again and really try to time it so that the fall leaves are the showiest.

Great view of Lake Muskoka. Beautiful fall colours. Marking could be better.

Really nice trail, beautiful views in the fall. Only complaint is it is a bit hard to navigate as there is only lines on the rocks and no signs.

This is a delayed review, July 2018 I was here last but since I’ll be returning to the area soon I figured I’d mention. This was a lovely hike with stunning views, I sat along the rocks and took it all in. Now it could have been the temperature out (very hot summer) and later in the day, but there were so many little bugs flying around which was a little annoying while I was stopping to admire the views. I’ll be returning though!

Was an excellent hike with lots of neat rock-faces to explore. Good mixture of wooded and open areas. Panoramic views of Lake Muskoka, which I imagine would be just breathtaking during the fall colours. Very fun to see all the inukshuks lining the trail in various spots. Only complaint is that the white spray paint can be a little vague and misleading in areas where the rock expanse around you is so big. We got turned around a few times. It’s also confusing when you get close to the forested chunk about 2/3 through the hike... there are orange markers on trees, as opposed to the white paint, that got us very lost temporarily. All in all, though, a great and not too rigorous afternoon hike.

Absolutely need to check this one out. Make sure to do it off season as there is limited parking. The neighbours have signs indicating not to park on the road. Understandable. This trail is very well marked. Amazing vista. Running shoes are fine.

Great hike, some uneven terrain and a good climb to start you off! My 10 year old loved it! Tip - go an hour before sunset and go left on the loop, will bring you to the boulder look out just in time for some nice views! Leave about 10-15 minutes to get back with some light.

I went in February and there was about 2 feet of snow and under the snow was a super slippery sheet of ice. So I definitely spent a lot of time trying not to fall. It was still very beautiful though and without snowshoes or xcountry skis it was a bit of a challenge. Nice to hike in winter as there was no one on the trail and it was very peaceful.

Did huckleberry trail today, it was a bit confusing and trail was not marked well. however, with that being said the views and lookout are amazing. there is also a side trail that is a dead end that overlooks hwy 118 and the massive rock cut with inkuiks (sorry can't sp) on top. Great trail but again confusing it took us awhile to figure out the white paint on the rocks were trail markers and they don't lead in a clear direction

Easy short hike with amazing views of the lake from high up.

Not recommended for kids under five or people with mobility issues. Look outs are awesome but the trail is not well marked, easy to get lost. Great for older kids and adults, lots to explore, views are breathtaking.
