I did the Acton/Limehouse side of the trail and there are a few things you should know.

1) The access point is very hard to find!! I was not able to find the access in Limehouse on Fifth Line, and it may no longer exist. There is an access point on Fourth Line just pass the quarry fence. You will see an orange blaze painted on a wooden post - head up that hill to find the start. There is a second access point on Glen Lawson road. You will notice an orange blaze painted on a 60km/h road sign. For the life of me, I can't figure out how the trail continues past here towards Guelph.

2) There is no parking lot. I left my car on the side of the road. But at least it's free.

3) The trail was very poorly marked! The blazes were sparse and hard to follow. There are lots of crossing paths and it was difficult to know which one to take. I got lost and had to double back more than once.

4) The trail was certainly challenging, as advertised. The path was narrow and overgrown at parts. There were steep hills. The trail is mostly sand. The only other person I encountered on the trail was a dirt biker. There are lots of tire tracks through the forest so it seems like it is used by them often. It is not a place I'd bring children or a dog.

Overall, a fun trail but really poorly marked and maintained. I'd appreciate if locals had any better insight.
