great trail. definitely some hard packed snow dominated the trail at this time of year. the views are always worth the hike. there are some short trails at the top that people have made to get a closer look at the cliffs bellow and our friends dog fell down one of them. don't recommend bringing your dog unless he's on a leash for the hill climb at km 2 or 3. also not good for mountain biking.

Great hike with just enough work at the end—a climb to the top of a rocky knob—to feel good about the payoff views. Isle Royale in the distance, views of Superior along much of the path.
