Have to pay because it's in the Conservation Park...some beautiful views...pretty plain trail. Also quite touristy.

I would recommend this trail. It was easy to find and great to walk with kids! The views are beautiful and worth the drive. We’ll definitely go again! Hopefully next time we’ll be able to do a different part of the trail or go a little farther with the kids. I definitely want to try to tubing too. It looked awesome!

Can't believe we drove 1.5 hours for this. Everything is fenced off. Do yourself a favour and climb under/over the fence at your first opportunity if you want to make this remotely worthwhile. Barely even a trail. Maybe 1.5km? 3 if you turn around and go back.

well traveled trail but not busy. Very scenic with cliffs and moderately hilly. Great for tubing for small kids and families. Can be slippery

The gorge looks beautiful but the fencing really ruins the feel of a hike. Not worth going out of your way to do.

The views were nice but the trail is fenced off now and difficult to follow. Wouldn't recommend for anyone with children.

The trail is ok, nice views but nothing special. The black fence ruins it . The best part that’s worth doing again is the tubing , amazing experience

I wish I could rate this higher. I grew up on this trail, it was an easy place to hide as a teenager. Some ruins and cliffs make for some really beautiful views, but this trail is now closed off to the public. There is no entry unless you crawl through holes in fences in a few places, but it creates a very gloomy and enclosed walk. Very disappointing.

I liked this trail....once I got on it. Had to ask a local how to access trail and was directed to go to the baseball diamond and get to the trail through a hole in the fence. Enjoyed the walk - didn’t meet many people but that was before campground was opened. May be busy now. Was surprised and delighted to come upon the falls. Didn’t realize it was there!! I recommend this trail...once you find it. Hahaha.

Was disappointed in views and the black link fence ruins the trail wilderness feeling. Was excited to see the gorge but only seen parts. The down town area was more exciting.

Great hike along the gorge. Trail does not have markings but is nevertheless easy to follow. We had no difficulties completing the loop, and the low bridge from one side of the gorge to the other is open, and people were camping in the conservation area. Relatively bug free and mostly mud-free.

The map looks like you can loop around easily, but that is not the case. The trail was nice, not really well marked, but worn enough to follow okay. Will go again.

Easy walking trail. First weekend of the season after opening of the park so it was a nice and quiet walk while listening to the roar of the river gushing through the gorge. I just wandered around before heading to the Village of Elora. It had been raining on and off for 3 days and was drizzling in the morning, so the trail was a muddy at places. View of the gorge from the bridge was nice. A leisurely stroll on the trail then roaming the lovely village of Elora - it was an enjoyable day.

Well, intention was Elora gorge trail but visitors centre said it’s closed til May 24. She recommended this trail but to start on the side of the Lions something. Took the photo of the entrance stone and go around she said. we walked a good distance to get to it. When she could have told us drive to the area and cross the park. There was nothing to see. Boring dead trees and construction and wet swamp sections. Waste of time gas. Boring!

what a beautiful walk. very easy to do, but take into consideration the conditions. we've done this at all times of the year, with snow and ice it can become a little more taxing.

Short hike but it was absolutely beautiful. Noticed that further down the right side of the trail it’s closed off by a big fence which is a let down.

The park’s current map is significantly different than the one shown here. I think the south part is still there, but possibly not listed on their maps? I didn’t check it out as the rain was starting to bucket down. The North part, from roughly the bridge the tubers cross up to the road and back, is an easy walk with some roots and rocks but mostly flat dirt or wood chips. It took about an hour, with stops at the not-terribly-scenic lookouts and a sit-down for lunch. Nice enough, but not scenic and the overall effect of a walk in the woods is spoiled by the fence. The town of Elora is lovely, but I either missed the great views/hikes at the gorge or else they aren’t there any more. Had a great day anyway! The camping and tubing look good.

One of my most Favourite places to hike with the kids!

Trail access is completely fenced in. You cannot access the trails from Ross St or the Wellington Bridge without climbing a 6ft fence. I image this is because they want you to pay for day use access. The Wellington bridge is a great view though.

The trail doesn't start at Ross St. anymore. It's at Wellington beside the bridge. Awesome trail!
