The first km of this trail was a trail, dirt/ground. The next km was a bike path, so asphalt. I only went 2km and then turned back (short evening walk). The scenery was very nice, overlooking the lake, passing by a beach. I just wish that it had been all trail.

A lovely, easy short trail through a bird sanctuary - truly the country in the city. This trail features art installations and stunning views. Just make sure you wear good shoes - we wore closed toed walking sandals and there were thousands of biting ants on the trail, which cut down just a little on our enjoyment of it. This was wonderful, easily accessible and well worth short drive out to the east end.
