Walking

It’s a long paved trail in between wooded areas. There are numerous bridges to cross and openings by the road to enter the trail. It gets pretty crowded during the evening with cyclists and families. It’s not the most scenic trail and the water is muddy, but definitely one of the best ones you can find in the middle of the city. It’s a decent trail for leisurely strolls.

Nice and easy walk along side the Don River. Good for a leisurely stroll. Entire trail is fully paved. Technically, this trail should be kid friendly. However, even on a Tuesday evening, there were lots of people and especially cyclists. My son counted 120 cyclists that passed by us in the course of 1 hour during our walk. A lot of them were speeding by seemingly without regard for pedestrians. I suppose the traffic is due to the intensification of population due to the condos in the Leslie and Sheppard area.

Decent paved trail. Slightly hilly sometimes but overall very easy and flat. Pretty. Open and sunny in spots and in other places the trail is covered by trees so you get a break from the sun. Right beside the river which is nice but on the other side is a main road so you can still hear lots of traffic and as a result I didn’t find this very relaxing. Too busy for my liking. Lots of bicyclists and families. This was on a Saturday in June. Not sure what it’s like at other times.

Just north of Finch, approx due west from Mandel Cres, the trail opens into a grassy section. Look here for deer! See them grazing about 20% of my trips.

It's a beautiful walk along the river. Most of it concrete. Gets pretty busy in the evenings with lots of cyclists and walkers. There's nothing scenic in this trail but you get to walk through the Rainbow tunnel.

Nice easy trail. Not really a hike, but more like a taking a casual walk. Trail is very clean and easy to walk on, mostly paved. Good for walking and biking. No scenic views but very relaxing. If you are looking for excitement, you will be disappointed, but if you just want to enjoy a walk, definitely recommended!

Better walk off the main, wide, sandy path, take the side trails into the woods, which are all well connected back to main trail track

Nice short paved path along the river cranes overhead, sound of highway in background. Not bad for the city. A major section is closed off, so it’s shortened.

Nicely paved and maintained trail, with a creek on the side. There’s a tiny beach where your four-leg friends can cool down a bit. Overall it’s very pleasant. Busy with many bikers though.

Very well maintained walk. We went there in March 2019 while there is still snow here and there, and enjoyed it very much.

The trail is easy to get to for folks who live in Toronto. It was a bit noise with city sounds, but it was nice to see lots of families out with their kids, even in December!

Great series of paths... mostly paved but some more rugged if you choose. Runs along the river and once you get a little bit further from roads, very peaceful. Easy walk, not many uphill sections. Will be back.
