I absolutely love this park! tons of carp you can watch swimming in the shallow ponds, a catch and release program for fishing, BBQ pits, nicely groomed trails with wooden bridges in abundance connecting all the little islands. It's a truly beautiful spot! & free parking, washrooms and bike stations.

Quiet spot tucked away from the Niagara River. It’s more a set of meandering pathways through what appear to be man made ponds. Saw evidence of a beaver though and a lot of people were out feeding the birds. It’s a nice break from the more crowded areas around the Falls.

Nice cool overcast Spring day to hike this easy, well maintained, and wonderfully simple trail. At the time of my visit the trees and grass were just greening. Lots of ducks, geese, gulls, red-winged black birds, sparrows and even a couple of loons. A few families were bbq-ing & picnicking. Was a lovely afternoon spent. I see fishing is allowed but it is a catch/release. Could see the shadows of large fish swimming lazily in the ponds. The only thing I wasn't too fond of was the mess of bird droppings. But that's to be expected with so much water fowl around, I suppose.

This Island park was beautiful, and pristine 13 years ago when I first visited it. However now it is dirty, in ill repair, and covered with bird droppings due to the large population of geese. There were no picnic tables when I last visited two years ago in early August. The best thing about this park now is you can park there safely for free, and walk a short distance away to the Niagara greenhouse, and Niagara Falls.

This is a nice "little" trail, its great for taking really young children or wheelchair bound people on to spend an hour or two, but it is definatley not a place where an experinced hiker would want to go for an adventure as it's a pretty flat trail that weaves through some trees and over a shallow pond, however if you are visiting Niagara Falls Canada anyways, you might as well bring a bbq and enjoy some R & R time outdoors at Dufferin Islands.
